Award for the Malmö armchair
Pedrali wins the GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2012 in the Furniture category with the Malmö armchair, designed by Michele Cazzaniga, Simone Mandelli and Antonio Pagliarulo.
The GOOD DESIGN AWARD is the prestigious reward promoted every year by the Museum of Architecture and Design Chicago Athenaeum in cooperation with the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. Established in 1988, the Museum of Architecture and Design "Chicago Athenaeum" is dedicated to all the different design disciplinary fields: architecture, industrial design, product design, graphics and urban planning.
After achieving resounding success during the 2012 edition of the Salone del Mobile, Malmö now draws again the attention of the American market. Thanks to a skilful wooden manufacturing and the possibility to customize the shell with a wide range of upholstering, the Malmö armchair conveys a sensation of comfort, warm welcoming and familiarity to the surrounding environments.
